ONYOK VELASCO – The retired Filipino boxer’s basketball game is going viral online for his unusual tactics.
Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco Jr. is a retired Filipino boxer, comedian and actor from Bago, Negros Occidental, Philippines. He won a gold medal at the 1994 Asian Games and a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics, the Philippines’ only medal at those games.
Recently, Facebook page Kevs Sports Eye shared video footage of Onyok Velasco’s unusual tactics during a basketball game. The video went viral and drew various reactions from netizens.
In the video, Velasco can be seen bringing a police officer into the basketball court and making him the guard. The comedienne received the ball and scored a point with the help of the policeman who served as his guard against his rivals.
The 48-year-old athlete even passed the ball to the referee and quickly kicked the ball after distracting the opponent’s attention. The latter threw numerous antiquities and jokes that made the audience laugh.
The former actor made a couple of points that are fun for his fellow players and viewers. The celebrity looked like a superstar after the game and has earned the public’s admiration.

The video resurfaced online after John Amores started a brawl during the NCAA season ’98 men’s basketball tournament. His actions drew criticism from the online community.
Amores was hailed as the “Most Violent Player” for his atrocious behavior during the game. The NCAA suspended Amores indefinitely as a result of the incident.
