The DYC or Digital Young Creative competition, one of the most anticipated events of IMMAP DigiCon, has announced the winners of the highly anticipated competition. The Ogilvy & Mather team, represented by Samantha Dedel and Henry Glo, have won over 45 contestants and will represent the Philippines at the 2022 Cannes Digital Young Lions competition. Participants were asked to create a digital campaign for the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ Read-to-Learn program.

So far, the country has won bronze in the competition thanks to Lance Francisco and Zach Lim, who represented Wunderman Thompson at the time. “This year the competition got even more exciting with a record number of 46 entries! We also made some changes to the competition with the help of our committee members Brandie Tan, Wacky Torres and Ollie Rabatan,” said Rudy Villar, IMMAP DYC Committee Chair.

“This time we ran The Digital Young Creative Competition differently by adding a elimination round. The first round was scored using a points system similar to that used by the Cannes Lions. The finals will be discussed by a panel of judges who will determine which team will compete in next year’s Young Lions,” said Brandie Tan, DYC Committee Member and Jury Chair.

Instead of holding face-to-face workshops for competitors, IMMAP gave competitors access to a series of videos created by well-known industry leaders and previous winners. This is called Brainstorm Buddies, an innovative mentoring program for young creative people.
